Dr. Babcock


Dr. Babcock was one of the foremost hospital executives in the U.S. He also served with high distinction as a medical officer in France during World War I. For this he was made an Officier of the French Legion of Honor.

He was a charter member of the Detroit Philatelic Society and a member of the Michigan Stamp Club. His specialty was 19th century covers. Dr. Babcock contributed a column for several years to Mekeel’s Weekly Stamp News entitled “Notes on U.S. Stamps.”
