Exhibited above are the only known FDC examples with official business corner cards of the Fremont Post Office. The envelopes were probably used to fulfill stamp requests by collectors. Such requests usually required the cover to be registered. The cachet on the cover, undoubtedly an add-on, would be considered by classic cover collectors to be a blemish on a wonderful FDC. This cover was featured in an article By Allison W. Cusick In Linn’s Stamp News. The reduced cover above is also a shame.
